The Christmas tree from the town of Gubbio, which is located in the province of Perugia in the region of Umbria, is the largest Christmas tree in the world. It is a unique light installation that dominates Gubbio from Mount Ingino.

The more than 250 green light points trace the outline of a 650-meter Christmas tree. Inside the Christmas tree there are also more than 300 colored lights and the star on the top of the Christmas tree from Gubbio consists of 200 lights.

In 1991 the big Christmas tree of Gubbio was awarded by the Guinness Book of Records as the “biggest Christmas tree in the world”! The Christmas tree of the city of Gubbio is switched on every year on 07 December and remains lit for 30 days.
