Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club – Lake Como – Lombardy –

Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club on the famous Lake Como in Lombardy was founded over 100 years ago, in January 1907. It is the second oldest golf course in Italy after the Acquasanta Golf Club in Rome.

The first golf course of Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club consisted of 9 holes in 1907. In 1923 the Menaggio & Cadenabbia golf course was developed into a difficult 18-hole par 64 golf course. In both 1907 and 1923, the construction work was carried out under the supervision of John Henry Taylor, a great English golf professional and 5-time Open Championship winner. In 1963, under the leadership of then President Antonio Roncoroni, the course was redesigned into a par 69 golf course under the direction of John Harris.

Under the current presidency, the Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club course has been upgraded to a par 70 course. The motto “Far and Sure”, which is on the club’s coat of arms, seems very appropriate for the golfers who play the Menaggio & Cadenabbia golf course for the first time. One can definitely say, golfing at Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club on Lake Como is definitely a special experience.
