“Worth the trip”. Golf Des Iles Borromées has a strategic location. Located on the hills above Stresa, it is easy to reach from Milan (80 km), from the Swiss border (30 km) and from Malpensa airport (45 km). The highway (A26 Milano – Laghi) has an exit (Carpugnino) less than two kilometers from the square. The course is located in an enchanting landscape and offers exceptional views of the Swiss Alps and the Ticino plain. From the 18th tee of Golf Des Iles Borromées you can often see the skyline of Milan and four lakes: Lago Maggiore, Lago di Varese, Lago di Monate and Lago di Comabbio.

Built in a natural and unspoiled environment, the golf course of Golf Des Iles Borromées is located 600 meters above sea level, with a southern exposure, fresh in summer and sunny in winter. But most of all, you will be enchanted by the natural flora. Silver birches accompany players throughout the course; there are also pines, firs and larches, as well as oaks, holm oaks and chestnut trees with the special thuyas of Mikado on the twelfth hole. Rhododendrons and azaleas in spring, broom in summer and heather in autumn complete the typical pre-Alpine landscape, with some areas protected by an environmental bond.

Inside the club Golf Des Iles Borromées you will find a driving range, a putting green and a chipping green, a well-equipped pro store, a cozy restaurant just renovated with an excellent cuisine, locker rooms, lockers and showers. To complete our offer, you will also find numerous electric golf carts, trolleys and golf sets for rent. Two trained golf instructors are present to give lessons upon request. The Golf Club Des Iles Borromées is open all year round, except in January. In autumn and winter, from April to October, we are closed on Mondays and open seven days a week.

The par-72 course of Golf Des Iles Borromées was designed to adapt to the natural environment in which it is embedded. The obstacles on each hole are not built, but have been there for centuries and are used to create a fun, but challenging course. Each hole has its own beauty, the shortest hole (hole 14) for example is a par 3 of 150 meters uphill and the green is well protected by bunkers, the longest par 5 (hole 3) is 525 meters long and can be reached in two shots only by the stronger players.

In more than 30 years, the Golf Des Iles Borromées course has hosted thousands of tournaments, from our weekly social events to major tournaments, Pro-Am and two Alps Tours Grand Finals.
